Mickie James becomes the first female wrestler to join iPhone top free app Viddy's celeb ranks

We just reported on iOS video sharing app Viddy's rise to the top of the iPhone's free app list, and now we've got news of yet another celebrity joining its list of users. This one is a first, though: TNA's Mickie James became the first female wrestler to join the celebrity ranks of Viddy.

Mickie James is a 5-time WWE Women’s Champion and two-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion. She understands social media well, with nearly 238,000 Twitter followers and a Facebook page with 32,600 likes.

Unlike musicians who either provide Production Packs for Viddy or who use the app to create their own short, 15-second music videos, Mickie James uses Viddy to create short personalized video messages to connect with her fans, AKA the “James Gang." She said,

“I'm really having fun with it. I love that you can create 15-second mini-vids and add all these little effects! I'm still getting the hang of it but it’s a lot of fun and a unique way to reach out to all my fans! Loving Viddy!”

Among the other Viddy celebrity users are Bill Cosby, Snoop Dogg, Jimmie Johnson, Wiz Khalia, Travis Porter, Giuliana Rancic, Warren Sapp, Michael Strahan, Linkin Park, Mindless Behavior, the Muppets, Spectacular, and T-Pain.

James' Viddy account can be viewed here.
