Join Upromise!
Word Drop + is ad-supported and free in Google Play (as Word Drop + free), and it is normally priced at $0.99 in the Amazon Appstore. As we've noted before, there are sometimes differences in pricing between the two marketplaces.
Word Drop + is described as follows:
Word Drop can satisfy your obsession with word games and fast-paced matching games in one entertaining app for your Android device or Kindle Fire.

Letter Pile-up!

As pieces fall from the top of your screen, match them properly so the pieces will vanish, earning you more points and longer gameplay. Failing to match pieces fast enough results in a pile-up. Once the pile-up reaches a certain point, your game is over.

Speedy Spelling Test

Spell words with letter pieces. As letters fall from the top of your screen, they collect at the bottom. Spell a word using any of the available letters, but be quick because more letters are always falling. You must prevent the letter pile-up from passing the blue bar.

Word Bonus

On occasion, you'll receive bonus pieces, like the Wild Card or the Bomb. Use the Wild Card as any letter you like. Tap the bomb to ignite it, and destroy all of the letters surrounding it. This helps to create more distance from the blue line if you're creeping a little too close for comfort.

Play in multiple game modes for a little variety: Panic Mode (Standard), Time Mode, and Puzzle Mode. Panic Mode is as described above. Puzzle Mode drops five new letters with each word you create, so try to think big. Time Mode gives you three minutes to spell as many words as you can with no blue bar.

Word Drop is a pleasant challenge with colorful graphics and nice sound effects. It can be enjoyed by both young children and adults alike.
Word Drop + (as the free Word Drop + free) is rated at 4.4 stars in Google Play. It is rated at 4.0 stars in the Amazon Appstore.

Kaspersky eStore
Word Drop + (in free form) has 527 ratings in Google Play. There are currently 14 reviews in the Amazon Appstore, so we'd guess that low 4s is a good average for the game. Take a look at it.

We've seen some developers indicate that there were unable to offer a paid version on Google Play due to certain restrictions. We've also seen developers have different names in two markets, as in this case, as well.

Those who are considering "buying" a Free Amazon Appstore app might want to consider what it means to developers. opened up the Appstore despite a lawsuit by Apple, which has previously trademarked the term "App Store." Microsoft has filed an appeal against that trademark, saying the term is too generic. has responded to the lawsuit in the same manner.
