A T-Mobile iPhone, and in Q3? The latest rumors surface

Rumors of a Verizon iPhone have been discussed since the first iPhone in 2007. This year, the rumors have really heated up. Now, Cult of Mac says it has exclusive information that a T-Mobile iPhone is coming in Q3.

Cult of Mac says their source, who works at T-Mobile, says the deal is about 80 percent certain.

Corel's Canadian StoreIt's not the first time that T-Mobile has been suggested as a possible iPhone carrier. After all, T-Mobile uses GSM, rather than Verizon's CDMA technology. A move to T-Mobile would be far easier for Apple than one to Verizon.

How about the difference between T-Mobile and AT&T 3G frequencies? After all, unlocked iPhone 3GS devices are stuck on EDGE. Here's what Cult of Mac said:
Customers with unlocked iPhone 3GS are able to use T-Mobile’s Edge data network, but not the faster 3G, which operates on the 1700/2100 MHz bands. According to Apple’s specs, the iPhone 4 adds the 2100 band, but not the 1700 band, which has led some to conclude that it is incompatible with T-Mobile’s 3G network.

However, there is some debate whether Apple simply didn’t list the 1700 band, which seems to be the convention when listing such specs. And no one has yet tested the iPhone 4 on T-Mobile’s network. Despite the efforts of the Dev Team, there isn’t yet a publicly available unlock for the iPhone 4.
As far as Verizon goes, it still seems likely that, given AT&T's generosity with regards to early iPhone 4 upgrades, that something is up. Stories of Verizon going to data caps just fuel the fire. We're still betting on a Verizon iPhone in Q1 2011.

Hi there!

It was really nice to read your Tech-Ex blog!

Here's another great iPhone App that you might want to use!

This one is for iPhone users who love to vacation in Paris and/or Barcelona; or for people who live in France orSpain…

Smart phones (especially the iPhone) are bridging “mobile telephone communication” and “socializing” (think of the Facebook Application to post “status updates” while you’re on the move).

But what may even be more interesting, is that now the iPhone brings the real big-city social scene to your smart phone. Now you don’t have to be a celebrity in Paris or Barcelona, or even know people in France or Spain, to get invitations to the best, most hip and exclusive parties. Just turn on your iPhone, open a free application called “Paris Guestlist,” (or “bcnGuestlist” for Barcelona), then click “Where am I?” and the application will show where you are in the city, and direct you to the most luxurious, most fun, and most trendy events in the city.

Go to the app store and search “paris soirees” (for Paris) or “barcelona fiestas” (for Barcelona); or “Paris Guestlist”, “bcnGuestlist” or a similar key phrase.

What the app has…

- A detailed satellite Google Map so you know exactly where are the hot spots of Paris and Barcelona every night, along with directions to get there.
- Complete description of each event with links to their websites and contact details.
- Gather up your party friends in Paris or Barcelona by directly sharing to your contacts on Facebook the parties and events you are going to attend.
- You even have the exquisite option of instantly booking your place on the guest lists for all the events that you don’t want to miss through SMS or e-mail directly from your iPhone!
- Have your profile stored inside the application so you can send your name and contact information to the event organizers quickly and effortlessly any time you want.

The most well-known event organizers in these two fabulous cities update the iPhone app regularly… these are the inside people, bringing you the parties that tourists rarely find (a little note: you might need to splurge for a new pair of shoes to get into some of these events – these are fashionable cities, after all!)

Don’t waste any time wandering around lonely in Paris or in Barcelona with boring guides or a boring and stiff guidebook. As long as you have an iPhone, the Guestlist apps will lead you to the greatest parties and get you past the velvet ropes!

Use the link below to view and download the Paris app (for free)…

And here is the free Barcelona app…

Have fun!!!
