The Twitter account has the handle @J_tsar (username Jahar). There have been no tweets recently; the last tweet was made on April 16, and said:
I'm a stress free kind of guyAlthough there is no verification from either Twitter or law enforcement validating the claim, the evidence of the account's authenticity has begun piling up.
For one, BuzzFeed claims to have verified the account as genuine. In addition, numerous tweets written by Jahar seem to line up with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's background. @J_tsar mentions his Chechen heritage more than once, says he attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, the same high school as the suspected bomber.
Also, an old profile picture closely resembles Tsarnaev.
Still further: another tweet says that Jahar has spent about a decade living in the United States, much like Tsarnaev. A photo of Jahar shows him wearing wrestling shorts with Rindge's logo, and as has been previously revealed, Tsarnaev excelled at the sport.
Finally, a tweet from May of 2012 makes clear that the account owner's first name is in fact Dzhokhar, as it says:
tat my name on you girl so i know it's real oh and make sure to spell it right, its spelled DzhokharThere is still reason to wonder, though, as several fake accounts for Tsarnaev have been seen on Twitter since the FBI released the names of the two bombers.
Several of the Twitter users with whom Jahar has engaged in Twitter banter with have been posted tweets of astonished disbelief since Tsarnaev's name was released. Examples include:
@Kid_Wavyy tweeted: Anyone who believes this BULLLSHITT about Jahar is F*ckinnnnn cooked. He's the last dude to be harming anyone or anythingStill, the evidence is compelling. Readers, do you believe @j_tsar is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's actual Twitter account? Chime in below, in the comments.
