Images of the HTC first Facebook phone leaked to Twitter

Images of the new Facebook phone, which is expected to be announced on Thursday, leaked to Twitter on Tuesday. The images of the device known as the HTC first come from Twitter user @evleaks.

It doesn't really look like anything more than a nondescript HTC device, but its software could be exciting to those who love social media. Rumor is that the device will carry a program called Facebook Home, which will serve as the phone's home screen and launcher, integrating deeply with Mark Zuckerberg's hit social networking service.

Specs on the low- to mid-range HTC device were leaked earlier. It's expected to sport the following:
  • Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP rear-racing camera
  • 1.6MP front-facing camera
  • Sense 4.5
  • Android 4.1.2
  • 4.3-inch 720p display
Based on the images available in the slideshow, it looks as though the device will ship in four colors: red, white, blue and black.
