Ned RocknRoll, 34, her new husband, works part time for Virgin Galactic. Thus, the actress probably feels as though she is in safe hands. Virgin Galactic expects to begin flights in 2013.
According to Wikipedia, Virgin Galactic, which is a company within Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, "plans to provide sub-orbital spaceflights to space tourists, suborbital launches for space science missions and orbital launches of small satellites. Further in the future Virgin Galactic hopes to offer orbital human spaceflights as well."
More than 530 people have already purchased a $200,000 ticket for a trip, including comedian Russell Brand and actor Ashton Kutcher. Noted physicist Stephen Hawking has also received an offer for a free trip, again courtesy of Branson.
