Bring it on: Piers Morgan tweets counter-arguments to 'We the People' deportation petition

Many petitions at White House's "We the People" site have reached the threshold for an official response, including a petition to tighten gun control and one to create a Death Star. One of the latest to reach that mark is a petition to deport CNN host Piers Morgan. Morgan's petition passed the 25,000 signature requirement for an official response on Monday.

Morgan earned his petition due to his statements regarding the aforementioned subject of gun control, in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Conn.  As such, he received fallout in the form of this petition, titled "Deport British Citizen Piers Morgan for Attacking 2nd Amendment." The petition says:
British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.
Unfortunately for those who wrote the petition, there's little hope that Morgan will be deported over his statements. For one, the First Amendment guarantees him freedom of speech. Except for speech that causes immediate danger, such as yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater, the famous example, he can say what he wants.

Immigration attorney Mark Schifanelli chimed in, as well, saying:
He’s got certain rights. Even as a foreign national in the United States, he’s afforded various rights under national security law and due process.
In other words: It's not going to happen.

Morgan, for his part, had both good fun and some good information in response. He issued several tweets on the matter.
If America deports me, I'm thinking of anchoring my CNN show from Jamaica - got a spare room @henrygayle @usainbolt ?

I am now trending in the United States because of this deportation threat. This is getting ridiculous.

Wanting America to ban assault weapons & high-capacity magazines isn't 'anti-constitutional' - it's called 'common sense'. #GunControlNow

I don't care about petition to deport me. I do care about poor NY firefighters murdered/injured with an assault weapon today. #GunControlNow

Americans murdered with assault weapons in movie theaters, temples, schools, shopping malls - now, as they put out fires. Where does it end?

Come on America, ENOUGH: Ban assault weapons & high-capacity magazines, and enforce background checks on 100% of gun sales. Do it now.

This is why I am facing deportation from America: http://edition.cnn.com/2012/12/19/opinion/morgan-gun-debate/index.html … #GunControlNow
Two things: Indeed, on Monday, an ex-convict killed two firefighters after luring them to his neighborhood by setting a car and a house ablaze.

You can watch the statements which Morgan made which brought down the wrath of the extreme right-wing and Republicans, below.
