The Fry's Electronics Black Friday 2012 ad leaks to the Web, one day ahead of online-only sale

Finally, the stragglers are arriving on the Internet. The Fry's Electronics Black Friday 2012 ad has leaked, just one day before the sale begins.

Those against stores being open on Thanksgiving can rest easy. While the sale begins on Thanksgiving, Fry's is advertising it as online only, beginning at 9 a.m. PST on Thursday. Buyers can order the product online at and pick it up on Black Friday at the store.

That would mean that -- as a buyer -- you'd only have to wait in the checkout line on Friday. Fry's opens at a reasonable 6 a.m. on Black Friday, with the store closing at 10 p.m.

Fry's is regional, so folks may not know of it. Wikipedia describes it as follows:
Fry's Electronics is a big-box store and retailer of software, consumer electronics, computer hardware, with in-store computer repair and custom computer building services and household appliances with a chain of superstores headquartered in Silicon Valley. Starting with one store located in Sunnyvale, California, by 2008 the chain posted sales of $2.4 billion and operated 34 stores in nine states.
Fry's remains "the" computer and electronics store for techies in the San Francisco Bay Area, although many have eschewed the store since has the same liberal return policies as Fry's does.

Among the deals in the ad:
  • Lenovo 15.6-inch Laptop w/ AMD Vision E2, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD (Windows 8) - $187 (note that's Windows 8, not Pro)
  • Lenovo 13.3-inch Laptop w/ Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 24GB SSD (Windows 8) - $498
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1-inch w/ 16GB RAM, WiFi, Android 4.0, Free $50 Fry's Gift Card - $299.99

  • Western Digital 2TB Elements Desktop External Hard Drive (USB 2.0) - $58

To be clear, although the store opens at 6 a.m. on Friday, pick-ups for those ordering on the Web don't begin until 9 a.m.

The ad scans are available here, in larger sizes than can be viewed on-site.
