Smaller sites that are competing with the big buys for your Black Friday dollars

As the big-box retailers such as Kmart, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Kohl's revel in Black Friday, a number of small(er) Internet sites are trying to leverage the day -- and the weekend -- for sales, as well.

We've been getting emails through the night, with retailers galore pushing their Black Friday deals into our inbox. While we have seen emails from the above retailers, we've seen a number of others hit our email account, as well.

Among them: fans of WWE can find deals galore. On Black Friday and through Nov. 25, shoppers can get 20 percent off site wide + free shipping with code BF201220. There are also up to 90 percent off doorbusters.

On Cyber Monday, shoppers can get 25 percent off Site Wide + Free Shipping with code CM201225. That is a one-day only sale. Once again, there will also be 90 percent off doorbusters.

Land's End: Shoppers can enjoy 30 percent off of everything plus free shipping on Black Friday. Does not apply to doorbusters.

Cardstore: Cardstore is a site where you can create and mail your own customized cards and invitations. Running from Black Friday through Sunday, Nov. 25, buyers can get 75 percent off holiday cards & invitations + free shipping. Use coupon code CCN2175.

ZoneAlarm: Makers of the renowned ZoneAlarm free firewall, the site is having a sale on its Pro version, as well as deals on partner software such as iolo's System Mechanic. The promotion runs from Black Friday Nov. 23 through Monday, Nov. 26.

Accessory Geeks: a smallish mobile device accessory site, has a number of Black Friday deals. Among them are:
  • Save 55 percent on an iPhone 5 Black Hard Case and Screen Protector. Only $8.99, free shipping.
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 Black Hard Case and Charger for $8.99, with free shipping. Use code CASEANDUSB.
  • iPhone 5 hard case and screen protector bundle (2 cases & 2 screen protectors) for $9.99, free shipping. Use code 2HARD2PROTECT. certainly not as well known as a site with a similar name, Best Buy, has some great Black Friday deals.

Dell: some great deals at the computer giant, including:
Dermstore: Skin and beauty site Dermstore is offering a number of Black Friday deals. For example, buyers can get 20 percent off their favorites, and a free mystery gift with every purchase.

iGearUSA: up to 50 percent off selected items. Buyers can get 20 percent off everything with the coupon code THANKS. clothing site has 30 percent off everything.

Groupon: If you have a Groupon account, check it. You may see a deal you want. For example, in San Francisco, there is a $10 deal for $20 worth of Toys R Us merchandise.

SEIDIO: 20 percent off (Friday only) with code BlACKFRIDAY2012 and free standard domestic shipping through Monday.

Google Play: Google's Play Store for Android apps has Cyber Weekend deals.

These Internet sites have giants to contend with, though. Not only does every big-box retailer have its own site, Internet-only retailers like and mostly-Internet retailers like TigerDirect and MacMall have Black Friday and weekend sales, too.

Let's not forget the upcoming Cyber Monday sales, too. It's a lot of competition, and a lot of sorting through deals for consumers.
