While TigerDirect.com is known primarily as an Internet retailer, it does have some brick-and-mortar outlets, making a Black Friday sale -- as well as its usual Cyber Monday sale -- appropriate. Its outlets are in Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Georgia, Illinois and Delaware. Store locations can be found here.
In addition, as can be seen on the ad, it is a sibling of the CompUSA brand. TigerDirect's parent, SysteMax, announced on Jan. 6, 2008, that it had acquired the Miami-based CompUSA brand, trademarks and e-commerce business, and as many as 16 CompUSA retail outlets in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico. Many will remember the bankruptcy of the original CompUSA.
TigerDirect's Black Friday sale includes savings on all manner of electronics, including HDTVs, MP3 players, smartphones, laptops, computer components, software, and more.
Note: the pre-Black Friday sale has prices that TigerDirect.com says will not be bettered on Black Friday.
Doors open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday. There are some "five hour deals" that run until 10 a.m. To be clear, though, TigerDirect.com -- the website -- is concentrating on Cyber Monday. These deals are avaiable at retail outlets only (see the store locator we linked above).
