The magic is gone: eBay bans spells, hexes, potions, etc.

The magic has left eBay. The online auction / storefront site has banned the following items: "advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic services; prayers; blessings; Psychic, Tarot, Reiki, and other metaphysical readings & services; magic potions; healing sessions."

The news came via the site's 2012 Fall Seller Update. With these changes, the folks in Bon Temps ("True Blood," y'all) will need to find a new place to get their taste of witches' brew.

Beginning on Aug. 30, attempts to list such enchanting items for sale will be blocked, according to the website. For now, though, you can still buy such items.

For example, a search for love potion will bring you here. Remember, eBay buyers, that you can also narrow your search to the category "metaphysical." Many of these items appear to be advertised by Wiccans, so we have to wonder if the Wiccan economy is about to take a hit.

For those out for revenge, though, a search for the word "hex" brings up a lot of tools. On the other hand, searching for curses brings a much selection (remember the advice above about the metaphysical category, though).

Sadly, one item we found was advertised by a "new" warlock on eBay. Barely started, his career on eBay is about to end.

Just remember: there's always Craigslist.
