PopOut! The Tale of Peter Rabbit is described as follows:
The charming, time-honored classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, is now available on your Android device as the first installment in the PopOut! series of unique interactive digital books. This e-book successfully maintains the endearing quality of the original story while delicately enhancing the details with Android technology. With more than 50 pages of augmented, authentic text and illustrations, it's sure to captivate audiences, old and new.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit follows a mischievous little bunny, Peter, into a grumpy farmer's garden while his siblings, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail, behave at home.

An Interactive Tail

Read with delight as you and your child bring life to the acclaimed illustrations. Touch the bunnies to make them giggle and wiggle, or pull the tab to see what happens. Each page is an interactive wonderland for small children with curious fingers and growing imaginations. Explore every scene and discover the many delightful life-like interactions at your fingertips. Look for pull-tabs, spin-wheels, and spring-mounted elements that are sure to make story time more engaging.

Little Readers

This interactive digital book provides reading options for all levels ensuring a positive and encouraging experience for children of all ages. Choose between two reading options: Read to Me or Read Myself. The Read to Me option reads the story aloud in a pleasant, English accent while highlighting words simultaneously, making it easy for children to follow along if they like. Children can touch a word to hear it spoken and repeat the full text if they want to hear it read over.

The Read Myself option allows children to read the text themselves while still offering the option to touch text to hear words spoken. This option is helpful for children still struggling with some words.

Sounds as Good as it Looks

A beautiful classical piano soundtrack accompanies a charming vocal performance mixed with the soothing sounds of birds, bonfires, and wind rustling through the fields.
PopOut! The Tale of Peter Rabbit is rated at 4.3 stars in Google Play and it is rated at 4.4 stars in the Amazon Appstore.

Such a high rated app in both stores, yet in Google Play it has only been downloaded between 500 and 1000 times. It's an example of how hard it is to get people to pay for apps in the Android ecosystem.

This comes despite the fact that the app has won a number of awards on the iOS side of things, including the iPad Hall of Fame.
