Don't think that Apple hasn't taken note of the impending sale. They're fully aware of it, and ready for an onslaught of customers who might come into their retail stores looking for a price match, which Apple is famous for. That won't happen. The official policy is:

Sounds like a deal until you realize you’re saving all of about 8 bucks a month versus a 16GB 4th gen model.
