fringOut now runs on Android

Coincidentally on the same day that Skype went live on Android devices (not just Verizon), fring released the fringOut service via an updated Android application. fring announced the service in late September. It allows inexpensive calls to regular telephone numbers from the Android client, in a manner similar to SkypeOut (go figure).

When it was announced, fringOut only worked on Nokia phones. With the new Android fring client, Google's platform has been addressed, but there's still no iPhone client, however.

Calls are the typically optimistic marketing-speak of "as low as 1 cent per minute." Watch a video on fringOut.
