App Store Censors Wake Up; Nine Inch Nails App Approved

After rejecting an updated Nine Inch Nails app the other day for no good reason, the draconian censors at the App Store decided to relent, and approved the app sans changes.

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor announced the approval via Twitter:
NEWS FLASH: Apple has approved the NIN iPhone app update. Should be live in a few hours.
Reznor was a little more verbose the other day, when Apple rejected the app. It was another of those App Store rejections that made absolutely no sense. Apple previously rejected the app because of objectionable content pertaining to the band's 1994 album "The Downward Spiral."

But that's not even available in the app; it's a podcast that can be streamed to the app. Additionally, Apple sees no problem with selling the album itself in iTunes, which (once again) shows how inconsistent Apple can be in their choice of what does and does not appear in the App Store.

Considering Apple for a time let the Baby Shaker app in the App Store, it's hard to understand what their standards are, or how they educate their employees in terms of what and what not to allow in.
