"I'm a PC," and I Was Made on a Mac

Microsoft's new phase of its ad campaign, aimed at renovating the image of Windows, which began with the much criticized Seinfeld-Gates ads (three of which were filmed but only two of which were aired), seems much better than the first phase.

But it's also proven somewhat embarrassing for the company: images created for use in the campaign were created using not just a competitor's product (Adobe Creative Suite 3), but also non-Windows based PCs --- Macs to be exact. At least it wasn't Linux.

The information was revealed by metadata in the images posted on Microsoft's site, at least prior the revelations about the images being posted by LuisDS. You might think that Microsoft would use Windows PCs running its own Microsoft Expression Studio, which as the company advertises,
Microsoft Expression Studio takes your creative possibilities to a new level. The professional design tools and innovative technologies in Expression Studio give you the flexibility and freedom to bring your vision to reality—whether you are designing standards-based Web sites, rich user experiences for the desktop and Silverlight, or managing digital assets and content.
Apparently CS3 and Macs still rule, however.

Microsoft apparently tried to cover its tracks, with new images posted, at 3 - 4x the size, and according to viewers, ones that "look as good as the mac one!"

While it's not an earthshaking revelation, it's totally funny and ironic. Readers?
