Guitar Hero III for Blackberry Announced

Many people think of the Blackberry as all-business, but Hands-On Mobile and Activision want to dispel that idea. Tuesday Hands-On Mobile announced that the #1 selling mobile game (their words!), Guitar Hero III Mobile is now available on Blackberry phones.

In the press release, Michael Temkin, chief technology officer and EVP operations at Hands-On Mobile said:

"With Guitar Hero III Mobile, we pushed the boundaries of innovation for mobile gaming and as a result are enjoying incredible success working directly with all of our distribution partners. We are thrilled to bring this game to the BlackBerry platform for customers around the world."

Hands-On is using Magmic Games to distribute GH III for the Blackberry. The deal is obvious as Magmic's Bplay.com is known as an entertainment stop for Blackberry users. To get the game on a BlackBerry device, go to www.bplay.com/guitarhero.

Also, three new songs are released every month. You can either opt for the one-time purchase version at $14.99 (you still get the 3 new songs) or the subscription version at $4.49 initially and $4.49 per month for the additional tracks (the Bplay site mentions $4.49 AND $4.99 on the subscription version page, so it's unclear which is the real price).
