Sony PSP Ignites in Kid's Pocket

Months ago a man said an iPod nano caught fire in his pocket. I haven't heard anything further about that case, but now we have a case of a 12-year-old being burned by his Sony PSP. I'd actually be far more willing to believe this story ... Sony battery, after all. Photobucket

At any rate, Harold Clay of Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills, Michigan was burned when the Sony PSP that was in his pants pocket caught fire. Clay had second-degree burns to his leg but was treated and returned to school in the afternoon.

According to police, it looked like the Sony PSP overheated and ignited. As I said, based on past Sony batteries issues, would it really be that surprising? On the other hand, it's possible that he was using some skanky third-party battery.

And before someone asks, at that school they can bring games with them, as long as they don't play them during class.

Remember the bulletproof backpacks I wrote about earlier? Maybe we need fireproof ones as well.

Ironically, the game in the PSP was "Burnout," though I don't know if it was "Legends" or "Dominator."

Hi Nice Blog .For those of you who don’t want to go with the cassette option, you could go for the after integrated ipod batteries , which are a bit pricy and not quite portable and if you ever decide to sell your car, the chances of selling it without the iPod controller are very slim
